The concept of GroupSalad came from a former youth pastor as a way to help keep track of and communicate with his students. After talking with other ministries about this it became clear there was a genuine need for an affordable, easy to use system that was specifically designed for student ministry.

The GroupSalad interface is secured to the same standards as the bank and medical industries are held to by the U.S. Government. The servers are hosted in a fully redundant datacenter that is backed up nightly.
